Commercial solar energy systems allow businesses to lock-in the long term cost of energy, and reduce or eliminate the impact of skyrocketing electricity rates. In addition to state and federal incentives, businesses can also benefit from MACRS five year accelerated depreciation.

Commercial property owners can now receive the 30% federal tax credit in the form of a grant, payable within 60 days of system completion. This applies to solar projects completed in 2009-2010.
